generate 2018 by typocircle

Hey! Student and grad graphic designers, art directors, writers, illustrators, animators, producers, CGI artists, directors, photographers, art workers, lettering artists, typographers... WELCOME TO GENERATE 2018 by TypoCircle.

Building on the success of our Student Sessions over the past few years, TypoCircle has curated a 3-day festival aimed at all creative students and grads. Comprising inspiration sessions, industry power hours, practical workshops and Q&As, led by well-known industry professionals – including Ridley Scott Associates, Dalton Maag, D&AD New Blood, Jim Sutherland, Trevor Beattie, Jack Renwick and Jelly – covering a whole spectrum of creative jobs and craft skills.

Each day is made up of events that will help you to explore and understand the creative industry and highlight the many opportunities out there for you when you graduate. Want to write comedy for TV, but don't know where to start? Design a best-selling typeface? Learn how your side hustle can win you a D&AD Pencil? Or simply how to screw up and embrace it? We have those answers covered!

The festival programme has been created to support your course work, and, hopefully, to enlighten you in areas and job roles you will not always be taught about. If you have a passion for succeeding as a creative, this is your chance to delve deeper in to the industry. The event has been purposefully kept small and social, to encourage conversation and networking. There will also be free evening off-site events, where you'll have the chance to visit agencies, have a beer and learn something new with the people that work there. Come and mingle with your peers and expand your contact list. Be inspired. Ask those burning questions you’ve always had to top creatives and get real, no-nonsense advice…

Generate ideas. Generate networks. Generate knowledge. Hello next generation.
